Project 03 / 06
Creel
“Water follows the math. We do the math first.”
The brief
The brief
A floodplain engineering practice deserves a site that thinks like its engineers. The homepage is an interactive, illustrative contour map: move across the terrain and it cuts a cross-section at that station, the way a hydraulic model would. Navy and cyan, mono annotations and editorial italics turn technical depth into confidence.
Design decisions
How it earns trust in the first five seconds.
-
The map is the message
An interactive contour map with a live cross-section shows the expertise instead of describing it.
-
Engineering voice
Station labels, contour scales and mono annotations borrow the language of the drawings themselves.
-
Question-led structure
Each audience is addressed by the question it actually asks: can I build here, will it pass review.
-
Contrast with purpose
A dark technical field gives way to light reading sections, so depth never becomes fatigue.
Inside the build
More than a homepage.
- Services
- Floodplain engineering, stormwater and drainage, development support, municipal support, CLOMR and LOMR, no-rise certification.
- Audiences and regions
- Pages for civil engineers and attorneys, plus Texas and Florida.
- Tools and notes
- A flood-zone check page and field notes on CLOMR vs. LOMR, no-rise work and NOAA Atlas 15.
